About Annette Mejia who Provides Information Regarding the Big Island of Hawaii

Born and raised in Southern California, Annette moved to the Big Island of Hawaii in 2004. While she originally bought her home as investment property, she immediately fell in love with the spirit, beauty and romance of the Big Island and now finds her heart and her career in Hawaii. Annette and her husband, Chris, reside in Kailua Kona. Moving to Kailua Kona not only gave her great insight into what locals truly desire, but also allowed her to experience the wants and needs of a buyer, and find out first-hand what it's like to relocate to the Big Island.

Annette's background in business, marketing, and customer service has prepared her for a successful career in real estate. Before becoming a REALTOR, she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Upon graduation, she proceeded to work for several major airlines. She began in the sales department of Continental Airlines, then proceeded to work for Hawaiian Airlines and Aero California Airlines, and later served as a flight attendant for American Airlines.

Personal experience in buying, selling, and investing is what really pulled Annette towards a career in real estate. She has owned three properties in Hawaii alone, and also has investment in properties on the Mainland. She officially became a real estate agent on the Big Island in 2005 and quickly became well-versed in a variety of real estate transactions – buying, selling, 1031 Exchanges, new construction, and more. However, it’s her first hand knowledge that really sets her apart. Her philosophy is, if you haven’t experienced buying or selling a home yourself, how can you relate to the client? Annette has had more than enough personal experience to understand the ups and downs, issues, and road blocks that her clients may experience.

A love for discovering new places and meeting new people, Annette has travelled the world over. From Asia, Africa, Australia, and South America, to Central America, and Europe – Annette has made lifelong friends and connections at each stop. One particular trip to Bali became especially significant as it served as the setting for her wedding. Annette feels that there is no greater experience than travel to open your eyes to new surroundings and to new people. Her love of people is apparent as she strives to make sure each Big Island home buyer and seller knows that she will handle their relationship with great expertise, professionalism and understanding.
